Mini Program Updates

The platform centrally maintains the mini program template and releases new versions. Here, you submit a new version to WeChat for review and release it. You can also generate trial version and release version QR codes, or roll back to an earlier version.

Version status

The top of the page shows the current version status:

• New Version Available (有新版本可用): shows "current version → new version" and the update notes, with Trial Version (体验版), Release Version (正式版), and Update Now (立即更新) buttons. For a mini program that has never been deployed, the current version is shown as Not Deployed (未部署).
• Already Up to Date (已是最新版本): shows the current version, with Trial Version and Release Version buttons.

Update the mini program

1. Click Update Now.
2. Enter the Version Description (版本描述): required, submitted to WeChat for review, up to 200 characters. For example: fixed known bugs, improved user experience.
3. Optionally upload mini program screenshots: up to 5 images, jpg/png, each no larger than 5MB.
4. Click Submit for Review (提交审核). The platform automatically uploads the mini program code and submits it to WeChat for review.

During review

• The page shows Under Review (审核中) or Review Delayed (审核延期), and you cannot submit another update at this time.
• Click Refresh Status (刷新状态) to check the latest review result.
• Click Withdraw Review (撤回审核) to withdraw the current review. You can withdraw at most 5 times per day and 10 times per month.

After approval

Once the review is approved, the mini program is released automatically. If the automatic release fails, the page shows Review approved, but automatic release failed (审核已通过，但自动发布失败); just click Release Manually (手动发布).

Trial and release version QR codes

• Trial Version: generates a trial version QR code; scan it with WeChat to try the mini program. Only the mini program's administrators and trial members can access the trial version.
• Release Version: generates the release version's mini program QR code; scan it with WeChat to open the release version.

Version history

Lists all versions provided by the platform, with the version, update notes, release time, and actions; Latest (最新) and Current (当前) tags mark the latest version and the current version. Click Roll Back to This Version (回滚到此版本) and confirm to roll the mini program back to that version.

Update records

Records every update, rollback, and forced push by the platform, with the version, action, status, operator, and time. Statuses include Pushing (推送中), Under Review, Released (已发布), Failed (失败), Review Delayed, Pending Release (待发布), and Withdrawn (已撤回).

• For a failed record, you can click Resubmit (重新提交) to submit it for review again (when no version is currently under review);
• You can copy the failure reason to help troubleshoot;
• Records can be deleted, except those that are Under Review or Review Delayed.
